Members of the APTA Executive Committee are elected for three-year terms. President Cheryl Brennan started her second three-year term at the 2021 AGM, with Vice President Malcolm McInerney continuing for further year. Secretary Steve Hawkins continues on the board for his second year. At the 2021 AGM, Phillipa Greig was appointed as Treasurer after the retirement of Danielle Gordon from the APTA board.
Each APTA member nominates one representative to sit on the board. The member association of the APTA president nominate an additional board member.
